Ms. Rebecca Burkholder

St. Matthew Parent

This month we are going slightly outside of the traditional staff spotlight to showcase an amazing parent of Saint Matthew School. Ms. Rebecca Burkholder is mother to Lucas Sims, who is an amazing fourth grader at Saint Matthew School. Ms. Burkholder is , and has been, a tremendous supporter of Saint Matthew School for many years. Whether it’s : coordinating a clothing fundraiser, serving on the school council, purchasing treats for the entire school community, using her voice to add direction for the betterment of the students, or offering her time and expertise for safety, Ms. Burkholder is non-stop in her support. While there are numerous other acts of kindness, gratitude, and acts from her heart that Ms. Burkholder is associated with, ( and you know she would never take credit for any of them ) we are all truly blessed to have Ms. Burkholder as an important member of the Saint Matthew Family. She often says how important Saint Matthew School is to her entire family…. Well, I want Ms. Rebecca Burkholder to know how important she is to our Saint Matthew School family.

Thank You Ms. Burkholder, and may God always keep you in his blessed light.

Tiffanie Walk

3rd/4th Grade Teacher

“Hello, my name is Tiffanie Walk and I am the 3rd & 4th grade teacher at St. Matthew School. I graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2019. I obtained a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Human Development & Family Studies. After graduating, I substituted within the Public-School System and worked as a Lead Teacher for the Head Start Program. This is my second year at St. Matthew School; It has been a pleasure working with such wonderful spiritual-filled people. I believe that a teacher is one who prepares students with skills they can take outside of the classroom. These skills are valuable and prepare students for their future. My goal is to provide opportunities to my students so they see themselves as unique individuals who have the potential to impact the world. My job is to meet every one of my student’s needs so they can be successful. I believe that each student needs exposure to a wide variety of content as well as diverse/new things so they can realize that there is so much more within the world around them.”

Mrs. Shannon Chappell

School Secretary

Mrs. Chappell has become one of the foundation blocks for Saint Matthew School. As an office manager/school secretary, there is no task that is too large for her to handle. Mrs. Chappell makes every person feel as though their request is the most important, and doesn’t stop until their request is fulfilled.

There are several blessings that God grants us each day. Mrs. Chappell is one of Saint Matthew Schools greatest blessings. Our school is a better school because of Mrs. Chappell.
